Campaign for a £700 tax cut

The Liberal Democrats have already delivered a £550 income tax cut for 25 million people.

But we want to go further, cutting income tax by £700 for every ordinary working person in Britain, helping make these tough times a little easier. We need your help to stengthen our hand to make this happen.

If you support a £700 tax cut for ordinary working people, sign the petition now.

There is no point in you cutting taxes when the coalition is cutting child tax credits far more drastically and people are ending up worse off than if the income tax had never been cut despite working full time. It you want to do the people of this country some good get them a fairer living wage and they will be happy to pay the tax. (well sort of). Put the 5% back on the high earners and put through the mansion tax, might go towards evening up the benefit cuts on spare bedrooms. The only reason I am signing this is to get this message across to you, not that I expect you to take any notice. Nick Clegg will go on allowing Cameron to keep pulling his strings!
